- Description
- The Contractor shall provide flame resistant long sleeve shirts and pants with an arc rating of 8 cal/cm 2. For the remainder of this document, one shirt and one pant will be referenced as a garment set. The Contractor shall provide a minimum of 11 garment sets per employee. In addition, the Contractor shall provide one dual liner work jacket for employees with both the inner and outer shells having an arc rating of 8 cal/cm 2. The rental program will provide for seasonal rental of jackets from 01 Oct- 31 Mar. The maximum number of employees requiring garment sets is 38. The maximum number of employees requiring work jackets is 19. During the performance period, the Contractor will provide flexibility to increase or decrease the number of jackets and garment sets and the associated total rental charge based on the number of employees within the organization. The Contractor is responsible for proper laundering of each garment set and jackets according to the manufacturer specifications to ensure the integrity of the garment to protect at the 8 cal/cm 2 requirement is maintained. The Contractor shall pick-up soiled garment sets and jackets and deliver cleaned garment sets on a weekly interval that ensures clean garment sets are always available for each employee. Delivery and pick-up will occur at the same time and, the specific reoccurring one-hour time interval will be set at the beginning of the contract period. The jackets will not be unavailable for more than a 7 calendar day period. The employees utilizing the garment sets are facility electricians, plumbers, power production operators, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians. The Contractor should expect to clean garments with dirt and other contaminants associated with these types of industrial activities. The Contractor shall replace garment items that have staining or discoloration or items in which the sizing has been altered by the cleaning process.
