Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice that is issued for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This notice is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing an IFB. The information requested is for brand name items only listed below which are contained within the specifications and drawings. These items will be provided by the prime contractor after award. The Chalmers P. Wylie Veterans Affairs Ambulatory Care Center is planning a project to construct a fully accessible three level parking garage. Major divisions of work include site preparation (including demolition of existing surface parking lot), cast-in-place reinforced concrete, structural steel framing, steel decking, electric traction elevator installation, carpentry, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, electronic security and access control, earthwork, paving and utilities. The intent of this notice is to notify interested parties of the "brand name items only" listed below that will be acquired by the prime contractor after award from the manufacturers or any other company who would provide the brand name items only from the manufacturer: 1. Manufacturer: Eaton Corporation Electrical Service Componet Types: MDL Series 800A circuit breaker 50K Available Interrupting Capacity (AIC) LGH Series 600A circuit breaker 50K AIC Eaton PRL Series 480/277V, 3-phase, 4-wire, 100A MB panelboard (35K AIC) Eaton PRL Series 480/277V, 3-phase, 4-wire, 225A MB panelboard (35K AIC) Eaton PRL Series 208/120V, 3-phase, 4-wire, 100A MLO panelboard (22K AIC) Description: Circuit breakers, and compatible panel boards necessary to eliminate system deficiencies. 2. Manufacturer: Simplex-Grinnell Fire Supression System Componet Types: Simplex 4100-0620 Transponder IF Module Simplex 4100-0622 Digital Audio Riser Module Simplex 4100-6056 Network media card Simplex 4098-9714 Smoke Detector Simplex 4099-9004 Pull Station System programming job Set of system drawings Description: Fire suppression system components to improve coverage in the clinic building, and allow communication between the clinic building and the Engineering Building, 3. Manufacturer: Cisco Systems Network Communication Devices: Cisco SG300-28MP 24 port managed PoE switch with SFP multimode transceiver Cisco SG300-10MPP 8 port managed PoE switch with SFP multimode transceiver Cisco WS-C3750X-12S-S 12 port aggregation switch with 4 quantity SFP multimode transceivers Description: Electronic network communication devices used to allow pages to be heard between the Clinic and Engineering buildings and to isolate and regulate paging functions. The Government will use the information obtained from this sources sought announcement to make a determination to brand name these items in a potential solicitation.
