- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Noncommunicable Diseases Branch intends to issue a solicitation for Medical/Scientific, Administrative, and Professional/Technical Support Services (MAPSS). CDC's mission is to promote the health and quality of life by preventing and controlling disease, injury, and disability. As part of this mission, CDC is tasked with implementing programs to ensure that people around the world will live safer, healthier lives through protecting Americans from health threats via a prevention, detection and response network and establishing CDC as trusted and effective resources for health development for all Americans. CDC addresses critical public health challenges through working with a diverse set of partners to support the development and implementation of appropriate public health interventions. Through health promotion activities, CDC contributes to reductions in morbidity and mortality. The objective of this procurement is to provide CDC with a ready source of medical/scientific, administrative, professional/technical expertise to include, but not limited to, epidemiologic studies, surveillance, surveys, data collection and analysis, environmental, chemical and safety engineering, industrial hygiene, sampling, program analysis and evaluation, field training, information dissemination, and response to disaster events in support of the environmental public health programs it conducts. This requirement is a 100% competitive HUBZone set-aside competed under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code of 541990 - All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services with a small business size standard of $15.0 million. The resultant award is expected to be a multiple award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the ability to issue firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursable, and time and material type task orders. The period of performance will be for sixty (60) months. The contract ceiling price is $50 million with a total guaranteed minimum of $10,000. This notice is not a request for proposals. No response to this notice is requested or required. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about May 17, 2016. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. The government will not maintain a bidder's list for this procurement. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring FedBizOpps regularly for release of the solicitation and any amendments.
