- MSCT Industry Day Announcement Survey Questionnaire Worksheet MSCT RFI Pursuant to the draft Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Category Management Policy 16-2 - Improving the Acquisitions and Management of Common Information Technology: Mobile Devices and Service, and on behalf of the Mobile Services Category Team (MSCT - comprised of the Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, Department of the Treasury, and the General Services Administration), the Enterprise Mobility Program at General Services Administration (GSA), is seeking comments and information from industry related to government-wide acquisitions and usage of mobility. The objective is to seek industry perspective on future mobility acquisition and contract vehicles across the federal government. This RFI is intended to afford potential vendors an opportunity to comment, identify their technical capabilities, and provide policy considerations and recommendations. The Government is requesting firms to provide their technical capabilities, experiences, and recommendations as to how companies sell, what they sell, and what channel (contract vehicles) preferences they have while selling enterprise mobility to the federal government. The government is soliciting recommendations on whether existing government acquisition channels meet their needs, or do new channels need to be created to meet future (2018 and beyond) federal governments mobility needs. We are also requesting firms identify considerations, constraints, and recommendations (including industry best practices) that the government should consider while assessing how best to meet agency mobility requirements. The RFI is broken into two main sections, as described below: 1.Survey Questionnaire (Worksheet) - The vendor survey of mobility components and services is designed to help the government better understand your company's capabilities and its methods of reaching the government. The procurement scenarios are descriptions on how the agencies use mobility services today and plan to use in the future. We would like your input and guidance on how best you can meet these needs with existing or new procurement vehicles. 2.List of Questions - These are a list of specific technical and procurement questions to help us gain a better understand your capabilities and requirements to meet the governments future needs. This effort is in its initial planning stage and the requested information will allow the government to better understand your industry's delivery capabilities and what combination of existing or new acquisitions vehicles will best meet government's mobility needs. This RFI is for information and planning purposes ONLY and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government may use the responses to this RFI for information and planning purposes. This Request for Information does not in any way imply a planned or pending procurement action by the United States Government. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. Responses to this RFI will not constitute an offer and shall not be accepted as the basis for forming a binding contract. The Government is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this RFI. The government will not reimburse any respondent for any costs associated with information submitted in response to this RFI. For detailed instructions please see the attached RFI document. Industry Day GSA on behalf of the Mobile Services Category Team (MSCT) will hold an industry day event to further facilitate communication and collaboration between the Government and Industry.
