Description
The Colville National Forest located in North Eastern Washington State has a requirement for the hauling, placing, processing and compaction of 11,150 CY of aggregate between mile post 0.0 to 11.4 of Forest Road #2014000 (Barnaby Cr.) and, 3,500 CY of aggregate between mile post 3.0 and ending at mile post 6.7 of Forest Road #2020000 (South Sherman Cr.). An additional 3,000 CY will be offered as an option item between mile post 0.0 to mile post 3.0 of Forest Road #2020000 (South Sherman Cr.) The work will include hauling, placing, compacting and shaping approved aggregate. The Contractor shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman's compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the drawings and specification of the contract. To get to the project from Colville, WA, travel north 13 miles on Highway 395 to WA State Highway 20 (Sherman Pass Scenic Byway), then 4.1 miles to County Road C-3 (Inchelium Hwy), then 4.5 to County Road C-412 (Lake Ellen Road), then 7.2 mile to Forest Road 2014000 (Barnaby Cr.) beginning of project. To get to the project from Colville, WA, travel north 13 miles on Highway 395 to WA State Highway 20 (Sherman Pass Scenic Byway), then 10.4 miles to Forest Road 2020000 (South Sherman Cr.), then 3.0 mile on 2020000 (South Sherman Cr.) to beginning of project. The work is estimated to start approximately around July 11, 2016 and the work must be completed by September 30, 2016. The project is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The awarded Contractor will have to provide a bid guarantee, payment and performance bond. This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. The products should first be acquired from the USDA designated product categories. (Reference: http://www.biopreferred.gov/BioPreferred/) This project will be advertised as a written request for proposals. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about May 19, 2016. The actual due date of proposals will be listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be posted on this site. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for HubZone small business concerns. NAICS code is 237310, size standard is $36.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
