- SBIRS FO Request for Information and Industry Day Notice This is a combined Sources Sought and Request for Information (RFI). The Space and Missile Systems Center, Remote Sensing Systems Directorate (SMC/RS) located at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is seeking information in the form of Statement of Capabilities (SOC) and White Papers from interested parties in support of the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Follow-On program. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain Sources Sought and concepts from industry on how they would design, build and deliver a new SBIRS space vehicle or payload, potentially within a new space architecture, and/or how they would build and deliver a SBIRS Program of Record (POR) Functional Equivalent (PFE) GEO space vehicle.
