- This is a notice of intent to increase the ceiling of Contract N66001-13-C-4045 to MacAulay-Brown Inc., awarded by SSC Pacific on behalf of the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), Information Innovation Office, (I2O) on 24 September 2013 in support of DARPA I2Os program Vetting Commodity It Software and Firmware (VET). Upon exercise of Option 2, performance will end on 23 September 2017. The performer, MacAulay-Brown, has had success and novel ideas in the research area of FPGA firmware specifically, the inexact subgraph matching. Using the research performed under the Base and Option 1 periods, this additional Option 2 effort is to further the FPGA inexact subgraph matching research and increase the transition readiness of the solution to the warfighter by enabling more rapid accurate vetting of FPGA bitstreams. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541712. Due to the nature of Research and Development efforts, DARPA could not have reasonably estimated the results and additional needs for the research under this program, which has seen breakthroughs that will benefit from continued research under this current contract. This action includes a ceiling increase of approximately $550,695. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes, however, interested parties may submit comments in writing to the Contract Specialist, Mrs. Veronica Velarde, Code 22530, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific who may be reached by telephone at (619) 553-7734 or via email to veronica.velarde@navy.mil. This notice will be posted for 15 days. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
