- A Sole-Source Award was made on 4/28/2016 to Advantech Corporation in the amount of $25,746.00 for the purchase of twenty-five (25) non-commercial single board computers with RAM/CPU/Fan. This motherboard is an upgrade to an obsolete component within a completely environmentally qualified computer and is a direct form fit and function for the existing motherboard. It has been shown to fit exactly in place of the orignal motherboard and satisfies all the Military Environmental Qualification requirements. No other motherboard has met these requirements. This motherboard is certified by the Navy Depot as the only authorized repair replacement part for this component. This purchase was conducted using simplified acquisition procedures. Per FAR 5.202(a)(2), notice of the proposed contract action was not publicized due to unusual and compelling urgency resulting from limited ship availability.
