- Description
- Government's Inspection Report for the Sewer Wet Wells at Building 1306 in Option 1 Drawing of Concrete Fuel Dispensing Apron for Option 2 Solicitation Amendment FA2835-16-R-0009-U 0001 dated 3 May 2016. J. The Solicitation is amended by a new attachment of a Revised "Statment of Work Repair Sewer Wet Wells," dated 3 May 2016. The revised statement of work posted today is to the previously posted Option 1 statement of work. A drawing of the Concrete Fuel Dispensing Apron to be repaired in Option 2 is posted along with the above-referenced Solicitation Amendment. A copy of the Inspection Report prepared for the government of the Sewer Wet Wells in Option 1 is posted along with the above-referenced Solicitation Amendment and drawing. In response to questions from contractors received by the Government, the following information is also posted: 1. The attached 8-1/2 x 11 scanned print from CE of the Concrete Fuel Dispensing Apron is posted today for availability to all prospective bidders. Full drawings will be provided for the contractor at the time of award. 2. The tank sizes at Building 1306 (Option 1) are 120,000 gallons. 3. Contractor will be required to pump out the interior of the tanks at Building 1306 as well as pressure wash the interior of the tanks at Building 1306; however, the contractor will not be required to sandblast them clean. 4. Contractor will be required to pump down the tanks at Building 1306 to empty them. Although the base has a contract with a service provider that conducts a semi-annual cleaning, this service does not remove all of the water from the tanks. Accordingly, although the water valve between the two tanks will be replaced, the awarded contractor would have to bring in a truck to pump out any remaining water so that the entire tank could be cleaned and so that the cracks could be repaired. The awarded contractor would need to coordinate this work with the government's semi-annual cleaning service provider so that efforts are not duplicated and the government doesn't have to pay to have the tank drained and cleaned twice. 5. The cleaning of the tanks at Building 1306 take place four (4) times per year with the next time to be mid-June, 2016. 6. The broken valve located between the tanks will need to be REPLACED prior to the commencement of this work. A repair is not sufficient. 7. The Contractor will be required to replace a total of four (4) ladders. 8. All floors and walls must receive epoxy coating. Coating only the cracks is not sufficient.
