- Synopsis/Solicitation The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is a regulatory agency with responsibility for the safety of food for humans and animals and the safety and efficacy of drug, devices and other medical products. In support of this regulatory mission, CVM runs a laboratory at the Office of Research in Laurel, MD which includes a variety of scientific laboratory equipment including mass spectrometers and other equipment which requires nitrogen gas to operate. This requirement is for the lease and purchase of high purity nitrogen gas to supply MOD 2 laboratory equipment.
