Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO7) has a requirement for DGH detachable probes to fit the DGH 55 Pachmate Handheld Pachymeter. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside affording all small business concerns that are distributors of the DGH Pachmate products. This requirement shall be solicited under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339115 with a size standard of 1000 employees. The Government shall issue a Firm-Fixed Price solicitation via fbo.gov on or around April 29, 2016 in accordance with FAR 12 and 13 Contact information: Please contact Thomas McDonel, Contract Specialist at Thomas.mcdonel@va.gov or by telephone: 706-733-0188, x1101 regarding this acquisition. This is not a solicitation and the government is not entering into a binding agreement per this pre-solicitation notification. Background: The requested replacement probes shall be solicited as a brand name item because these probes will be utilized in the event that the current Government owned DGH 55 Pachmate Handheld Pachymeter become non-operational and require repair. See functional feature #1 below for verification of the agency need. Functional Features for the Pachmate detachable probes: "Detachable probe rotates to allow the user to customize measurement position, with detents at 30,45,60,75,90 degrees. "When not in use the probe can be rotated into the hand piece for protection while being transported or stored. "Probe is detachable and can be easily removed by the operator for cleaning or, if necessary, for replacement. (1) Detachable Probe- Probe can be easily removed from cleaning or replacement.
