- Description
- 1. This contract is for the Replacement of Kitchens in Family Housing Buildings 202, 212, 220, 222, 230, and 233, USAG Bavaria, Grafenwoehr Military Community - Tower Barracks, GERMANY and includes the following work: a. Dismount the existing kitchens including sinks and faucets. Furthermore, dismount and clear the refrigerator, the dish washer and the freestanding kitchen range. Store them intermediately and reinstall them as well as reconnect them at a later date. b. Dismount and reinstall fire extinguishing units, alarm systems and shut-off systems located in the wall cupboards above the kitchen ranges. c. Dismount the existing floor coverings (PVC and Tiles), including the base boards. Deliver and install new floor coverings (PVC and tiles) d. Deliver and install new kitchen furniture with recess back panels and counter tops. e. Connect the existing electrical kitchen appliances. f. Replace ceiling light fixtures within the buildings and kitchens listed above. Note: During the entire construction period the apartments are still being used by residents. All measures to ensure building safety have to be taken. 2. The solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. 3. The performance period is 170 calendar days, whereby a commencement time of 20 calendar days is included. 4. This is only a pre-solicitation notice and the actual solicitation will be issued in approximately three weeks. The solicitation will be posted at the following website: https://www.fbo.gov under the same solicitation number. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbent upon parties to review the website frequently for any updates/amendments. 5. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the RCO Bavaria. 6. Work will be performed in Germany and contractor must comply with German law (e.g. authorization to do business in Germany). 7. Only local sources are solicited in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(12).
