In addition to the effort to reduce the overall weight of the Soldier Protection System (SPS) PM SPE will cover our continuing efforts to improve PPE for female warfighters and the opportunity this presents to focus on the "warfighter as a system". The Government's intent is to brief industry on PM SPE's continuous efforts concerning reducing overall weight of SPS and female warfighters PPE. After these briefings the remainder of the time is available for individual 45 minute vendor meetings (pre-scheduled) to allow vendors to discuss specific questions concerning our SPS weight reduction effort and female PPE. Vendors will also be allowed to show the Government weight reduction effort or female PPE they have or are developing. Vendors will be given time to set-up/lay-out their weight reduction and/or female PPE samples prior to the vendor meeting. Each vendor is limited to one (1) 45-minute breakout meeting; meetings will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis.
