- Description
- The U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Entrepreneurship Education, intends to procure, on a sole source basis, entrepreneurial educational services, including previously developed curriculum, and classroom and online training, for entrepreneurs in underserved communities throughout the United States. The SBA intends to negotiate this contract with Interise, Inc. (Duns no. 789831117), 1 Milk St., 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02109-5413. Interise, Inc. is considered the one responsible source because it has eight years of experience in providing these specific training services in support of the SBA mission, because of its trade-marked and copyrighted educational material developed specifically for the SBA to train entrepreneurial leaders, and because of its resources and staff experienced in providing these services nationally and to underserved communities and in partnership with the SBA. The contract will be for a base year and four option years with an estimated total value of $5.6 Million. The SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative is targeted outreach that identifies executive-lead small businesses in select underserved communities across the country that show a high potential for growth. This Initiative provides the leaders of these businesses with the support network, training resources, and motivation required to build and sustain businesses of size and scale within designated communities. This Initiative, which can be summarized as an executive education training series and targeted outreach, is supported by a partnership between the SBA and Interise, Inc., a nonprofit organization. The Emerging Leaders Executive Educational Training Series has been continuously delivered in 51 communities, in partnership with Interise, since 2008. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government in determining whether this contract should be sole-sourced. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS classification is 611430, Professional and Management Development Training, with a size standard of $11M. Any questions regarding this notice shall be submitted in writing to Cheryl T.
