Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Government is requesting information regarding the availability and feasibility to provide XLE246 Furnace repair. The requirment that the government is looking for is a company that can provide troubleshooting for the XLE246 Furnace to determine what parts/materials are needed. Also repair of the XLE246 Furnace is also required after the troubleshooting process is completed. For this RFI, the Marine Corps Installations - WEST, Regional Contracting Office is interested in determining a comprehensive solution that will fully meet the requirement to provide this service. Currently the only identified source is L&L Special Furnace Company, Inc. This RFI will determine if there are possible manufacturers of services that are not only technically equal, but also quality equal to the service offered by L&L Special Furnace Company, Inc. as both aspects are considered equally important in meeting the government's requirement. Any potential response shall include appropriate material to allow this office to determine if possible services are capable of meeting the full requirement. Failure to do so will result in a response being reguarded as UNACCEPTABLE. PROCESS: This request is to gather information from interested parties and is deemed essential as part of our collaborative, deliberate planning process for the purchase of XLE246 Furnace repair service. DISCLAIMER: This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI will be treated as business confidential information, and exempted from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act. Nonetheless, submitters should properly mark their responses if the information is confidential. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expense associated with responding to this RFI. HOW TO RESPOND Interested parties need to contact Jessica Franceschini at jessica.franceschini@usmc.mil no later than May 12, 2016 by 12:00PM (PST).
