- J&A Brand Name Solicitation for New Furuno Radar and Components for the Dredge McFarland a. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. (SEE ATTACHED SOLICITATION). b. The Solicitation Number for this acquisition is W912BU-16-T-0048 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). c. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-87. Clauses and Provisions are available on line at HTTP://farsite.hill.af.mil. d. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside; the NAICS code is 334290 and the Size Standard is 750 employees. e. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the contractor to provide for use on the Dredge McFarland in accordance with Specifications. (See the attached detailed Solicitation). R e q ui r e m e nt i s f or Furuno b r a n d na m e o nl y. Award will be made on the basis of Lowest Price. f. The period of performance for all components shall be delivered to Fort Mifflin Distribution Center within 60 days of award of the contract. g. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-87. FAR Provisions and Clauses applicable to this acquisition are incorporated in their entirety. h. Any questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted by e-mail to helena.r.dinofa@usace.army.mil by 11 May 2016 by 1:00p.m. eastern standard time. All questions will be answered promptly via an amendment. i. All quotes shall be submitted electronically by (1:00PM) EST on 19 May 2016 to Helena DiNofa at helena.r.dinofa@usace.army.mil. If there are any amendments to this requirement, all amendments are required to be filled out and submitted with the attached SF1449 document by the due date. j.
