Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS SEEKING OUTPATIENT SPACE The Department of Veterans Affairs is dedicated to providing direct and indirect support to the City of Roanoke veterans. The Department of Veterans Affairs desires lease space up to 4,000 usable square feet of outpatient space for a Veterans Center. The space must be handicap accessible in according with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (4 CFR 101-19.6, App A) and ready for occupancy immediately. On-site parking for a minimum of 20 vehicles is required including 2 designated handicapped parking spaces specifically for VA usage. The VA requires a full service lease for a five (5) year firm term with a five (5) year option period for a total of ten (10) years. The proposed space must be within or fronting the following delineated area: West along Campbell Ave from the corner of S Jefferson St and Campbell Ave, proceeding SW on 13th St/Memorial Ave SW, proceeding SW on Edgewood St SW, proceeding west on Brandon Ave SW/Apperson Dr, proceeding south on Electric Rd, continuing west on Electric Rd, Continuing NE on Franklin Rd SW, proceeding east on McClanahan St SW, proceeding north on Jefferson St SW to point of origin. Kambeth Powell, 100 Emancipation Drive, Bldg. 27, Hampton, VA 23667. Interested offerors must submit the address, property description, available square footage, and photographs. Also, a map or proof that the proposed property is within the delineated area is required. Contact to the Leasing Specialist is required by 4:30 EST May 23, 2016. The Government is limited by law (40 USC 278a, as Amended 10-1-81) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. Please note: A market survey of properties offered for lease will be conducted by VA personnel. This advertisement is not a solicitation for offers, nor is it a request for proposals.
