- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY and a SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred associated to this request for capability information. USDA ARS, NCAH 1920 DAYTON AVE, AMES, Iowa, 50010, United States, is seeking a contractor to provide removal, perform complete engine and reduction gearbox overhaul, reinstall, and re-commission for a Solar Gas Turbine Engine, model Centaur 40-4701S/ SN CG07798. Work to include complete disassembly and reconditioning to update the engine and reduction gearbox to current production per manufacture specification to the same quality and performance standards as a new engine and reduction gearbox. The USDA APHIS is issuing this sources sought request as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide the supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for the aforementioned services at National Centers of Animal Health in Ames, Iowa. The result of this market research will contribute to determining whether there are adequate sources are available from which to receive competitive proposals. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to be assigned to this procurement is 811310. Submission Instructions: Interested parties, who consider themselves qualified to perform the listed services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 4:00 PM (CDT) May 20, 2016. If your organization has appropriate qualifications and capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: (1) A complete and current record of your System for Award Management, SAM which includes DUNS number, Organization name, address, contact name, email address, Web site address, telephone number, type of organization, small business type (if any), etc; (2) A capability statement supporting claims of organizational and staffs capability to perform, a list of related services contracts and associated federal customers, (3) if significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. USDA requests that potential sources only submit the minimum information necessary and no more than three (3) pages. The SAM record does not count toward the 3 page maximum.
