Description

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, (FAR) Subpart 5.2, the Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) issues the below pre-solicitation notice. This announcement is not a solicitation and represents upcoming construction work. This requirement will be competitively issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) set-aside utilizing competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) procedures as prescribed in FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. Project No. /Title: Project No. 573-15-601, Install Security Perimeter Fence Project location: Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida. Project Magnitude: $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 NAICS Code: 236220 Size Standard: $36.5 Million Project Overview: The project requires the completion of construction as per construction documents (plans and specifications) for the removal/demolition of existing perimeter chain link and wooden fencing and installation of approximately 7,500 linear feet (6000 +/- actual plus gates) of security compliant fence across the entire campus and make entrances for pedestrians, and access control for two pedestrian gates. The project design incorporates all architectural and engineering disciplines needed, in accordance with VA construction standards, specifications, and design guides, and current codes and standards including but not limited to, NFPA, JCAHO, and OSHA. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held following issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation. Reference System for Award Management, (SAM): By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirements that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM) at the time of proposal submission and at the time of award. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Ensure your registration is correct, current and has not expired. Reference Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) program: To be considered for award, all prospective offerors must be in compliance with VAAR 819.7003 and be verified for eligibility in the VIP database at www.vetbiz.gov, on the date and time proposals are due. Interested SDVOSB firms must be certified in vetbiz.gov, at the time of proposal submission and at the time of award. Lack of registration in the VIP database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Ensure your registration is correct, current and has not expired. All questions should be addressed to John E.
