- Description
- The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region has a requirement to modify a base set of 12 Upper Guide Bearings and an option of 12 additional Upper Guide Bearings as well as two optional sets of 10 Thrust Bearings in accordance with the Performance Work Statement and drawings provided by the Bureau of Reclamation. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Parts 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations as a 100% small business set aside. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Government will at its own cost ship (1) set of 12 upper guide bearings to the contractor for rebabbitting and machining in accordance with the performance work statement as the base contract. As options, the government will ship to the contractor an additional set of 12 upper guide bearings if the option is exercised, at the Government¿s discretion, within 12 months of award of the contract. Rebabbitting two sets of 10 thrust bearings will each be optional line items and may also be exercised at the Government¿s discretion within 12 months of award of the contract. The contractor will be required to deliver the base quantity within 45 of receiving the bearings. The option line sets shall be delivered to the Government 75 day from the time the contractor receives the set of bearings. The Contractor shall warranty the new babbitt and other modifications against defects in materials for a minimum of one year from the date of delivery. The bearings shall be delivered to the Reclamation warehouse at 805 Bureau Street, Page, AZ 86040-1477. The price for delivering the bearings back to Reclamation shall be included in the price of rebabbitting. See the solicitation for further details. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The release date for the final and formal solicitation number R16PS00912is anticipated to be released May 9, 2016.
