Description

Notice of Intent Details including technical specifications The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with Opal RT Technologies for a real time digital simulator (RTDS) which integrates with MathWorks Simulink simulation software to be used by the NIST Engineering Laboratory (EL). ***** Sole source determination is based on the need to procure a portable RTDS that can be used at a desktop or during trips to other offices or laboratories. The RTDS must be compatible with NIST's current RTDS, an OP6500 manufactured by Opal-RT Technologies. No other manufacturer offers a portable RTDS that is compatible with the OP6500. Furthermore, Opal RT has no authorized resellers in North America.
