- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, intends to procure Air Data Accessories Sets, P/N ADAMQ8C-612, in support of the MQ-8C Program. It is anticipated that this will be a Firm Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract. The Request for Information for this effort was posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website under sources sought reference # N68335-16-RFI-0207. The Air Data Accessories Set was designed and developed by Nav-Aids Ltd. to meet maintenance requirements. All components of the Air Data Accessories Set were specifically designed to interface with the hoses and fittings on the MQ-8C Unmanned Aircraft System as well as the Common Support Equipment Air Data Test Set. Continuation of the procurement of the Nav-Aids Ltd. Air Data Accessories Set is necessary for the compatibility with the existing aircraft and Air Data Test Set configuration. Nav-Aids Ltd. is the sole designer and developer of their Air Data Accessories Set. Nav-Aids Ltd. is the only company that possesses the technical data that is required to manufacture this set with the proper configuration, correct dimensions, standards, materials, and processes to safely and e Air Data Accessories Sets, P/N ADAMQ8C-612, in support of the MQ-8C Program effectively perform the maintenance functions. The Government does not possess the technical data that is required to enable a full and open competition. Nav-Aids Ltd. and their authorized distributors are the only providers of the required Air Data Accessories Set. This acquisition is being pursued as a brand-name limited competition between Nav-Aids Ltd. and their authorized distributors under the sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
