Description
Product Manager Unmanned Sensors - Rotary Wing (PdM SURW), under the cognizance of Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (PEO IEW&S), STARLite has a continuous requirement to provide system support functions required to deploy and maintain the readiness and operational capability of the STARLite Synthetic Aperture Radar / Ground Moving Target Indicator (SAR/GMTI) program, an Acquisition Category (ACAT) III program. The STARLite is a lightweight, high-performance, all-weather, multi-functional radar system that is integrated onto the multi-purpose Gray Eagle Unmanned Aircraft (UA). The STARLite generates quality images for use by battlefield commanders for the detection and classification of commercial, wheeled vehicle-size targets, as well as the location and tracking of moving ground targets. STARLite provides a tactically responsive asset with wide area, near real-time reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition capabilities. It operates throughout the UA's flight mission profile in adverse weather and through battlefield obscurants to provide the battlefield commander with increased situational awareness. PdM SURW will transition the hardware sustainment of the STARLite system to the Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) in the 4th quarter of FY17. This transition will encompass a Public Private Partnership between Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), and the LRC. STARLite's hardware consists of four (4) Line Replaceable Units (LRUs): Antenna, Electronics Assembly (EA), Inertial Navigation System/Global Position System (INS/GPS) and Power Supply (PS). TYAD will perform the repairs for the EA and PS. NG will perform the repairs for the Antenna, INS/GPS, and Subassembly Repairable Units (SRUs).
