- Description
- The AITC facilities department located at 1615 Woodward Street in Austin, Texas, is responsible for ensuring the Data Center will not experience any power loss or outage under any circumstance, twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week. The AITC processes data that is considered a lifeline to Veterans. The AITC has invested millions of dollars in Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), batteries and generators systems to support this effort. The Contractor shall remotely monitor (via e-mail & cell phones) the system twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week and provide maintenance, repair and on-call services. Project task summary: "Contractor provide service for VA-AITC Emergency Diesel Generator System (EDGS) 24/7 maintenance (including repair parts, fluids changing, filter changing, batteries, belts, hoses, hose clamps & transfer switch bulbs). "Contractor technician staff shall be stationary diesel generator certified to work on Cummins Generators. "Contractor shall respond to alarm notification within 30 minutes by contracting VA-AITC representative and emergency call response within one hour with onsite support. "Contractor shall coordinate all repairs with VA-AITC representative and Cummins to ensure Generator warranty compliance. "Equipment includes, generators (one 750kW, two 900kW, one 1,000kW & two 2,250kW), Cummins transfer switches, switch gear PLC's, Cummins command centers, Generators on-board Cummins Command Centers, air intake dampers, day tanks, day tank pumps, monitoring Veeder-root, downstream electrical breaker and feeders. "Contractor perform weekly non-load generator testing on Thursdays at 4:30pm CST and providing summary of maintenance checks. Event will be coordinated with VA-AITC representative. "Contractor perform semi-annual four hour generator load testing (via actual computer room load or load back), providing summary performance and documenting each generator load every 30 minutes. Event will be coordinated with VA-AITC representative.
