Description

IAW FAR Part 6.302-1, the VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Biosense Webster to provide the Jesse Brown VAMC in Chicago, IL a Carto SmartTouch 3D Module and a SmartAblate System software package upgrade to the currently owned Carto 3 Mapping System. The added software seamlessly combines flouro images with Carto 3 system maps of the cardiac anatomy into a single 3-dimensional image that allows physicians to use less flouro during procedures, which in turn reduces the amount of radiation the patient, physicians, and staff is exposed to during cases. The subsequent purchase order will be firm fixed price and F.O.B. Destination. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available; however, any firm that believes it can meet or exceed the requirements above may give written notification to the Contracting Office by 10:00am (CST) on Tuesday, May 17th. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses and information can be submitted electronically to the Contracting Offer via email at matthew.wright2@va.gov. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the VA not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the VA's discretion. If no responses are received, the GLAC will then proceed with the sole source negotiation with Biosense Webster.
