Description

Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to Gulfstream Steel & Supply. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Nashville District, Contracting Division, intends to issue a sole source procurement for Carbon Steel Pipes & I-Beams for installation of the second mooring dolphin at Fort Loudoun in accordance with FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to award a supply contract under Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(I)- (1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. (b) Soliciting from a single source. (i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization. In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 331210. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers or a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
