Description

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition for maintenance on a Formulatrix Inc., Rock Imager 182. Formulatrix Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Rock Imager 182 and they do not have any authorized third party service providers. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources who are certified by Formulatrix Inc. as authorized third party resellers/service providers may submit a proposal showing their capabilities and past performance repairing this type of equipment. The vendors shall provide certification from OEM that they are authorized reseller/service provider and have access to OEM parts and supplies. All responsible sources may submit a response that will be considered. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and replacement parts must be compatible with existing equipment. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Offers must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M.
