- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a contract for the transfer of and copy of technical data within the Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) to the Government. This includes all technical data (and associated packages that are agreed to by the Government and vendor that are necessary to maintain the technical data contained within the IDE as currently constructed) developed under the Electro-Magnetic Aircraft Launch System ( EMALS) Machining/Forging EMALS and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) Production, EMALS System Design and Development (SDD), EMALS Logistics Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Order, EMALS Program Definition and Risk Reduction (PDRR), AAG Equipment Production Program, AAG SDD and Technology Development, and CVN 79 Long Lead Time and Material and Production, contracts. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, issue an order or orders, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
