- Project Description: The project requirements is for Mississippi River channel dredging with a Hydraulic Pipeline Dustpan Dredge and Attendant Plant. The work consists of furnishing, delivering, and operating one fully operated hydraulic pipeline dustpan dredge and attendant plant for the removal and satisfactory disposal of shoal material. The primary dredging region will be any point on the Mississippi River between Cairo, Illinois (Mile 953.8 AHP) and New Orleans, LA. (Mile 106 AHP). Dredging may be required at secondary locations between Cubit's Gap (Mile 4.0 AHP) and Southwest Bar Channel (Mile 22.0 BHP); and tributaries of the Mississippi River. North American Industry Classification System (NACIS): 237990 Small Business Size Standard: $27.5M Acquisition Strategy: Firm Fixed Price, Unrestricted, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA), RFP Magnitude of Work: Between $25,000,000 to $100,000,000 Contract Duration: 48 months Estimated Start Date: 1 July 2016 RFP: Will be issued on 23 May 2016 Proposal Due: On 23 June 2016 The resulting contract will consist of one base and three options. The base will be 12 months in length. Each option after, will be one year in length. The total length of contract, if all options are exercised, will be 48 months.
