Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6, on behalf of VA Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice seeking sources for the maintenance inspection and emergency service on the Leica Microsystems Confocal Microscope, SP5 CH 03/ IR ready (MAI TAI upgrade) at the Medical Center in Durham, NC for the period of June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017. Four (4) Option Years are expected be offered. The equipment covered under this service agreement is listed in the table below and is to include parts, labor and transportation, as required, excluding consumable items on the following equipment located in Research Laboratory, Building #16, Room #19 at the VA Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC 27705 from the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. The response time for telephone is 1 hour and for onsite is 8 hours. The uptime guarantee is 98%. Two (2) preventive maintenance service calls will be included. "One preventative maintenance visit per contract year will be scheduled, at customer request, for instruments that include a yearly preventative maintenance to ensure system is calibrated and working to factory specifications. "Coverage includes unlimited on-site service calls (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm local time) including all labor and travel expenses. "Coverage includes unlimited access to expert Applications and Technology Support Center (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm EST). "Coverage does not include consumables, relocations, or repairs not related to normal use of the equipment. "Coverage includes software updates-revisions to the originally purchased version of Leica operating software. "Bio-safety Level 2 (BSL2) qualified.
