Description

These card readers are essential to the Government ™s requirements for spares and replacements of existing card readers used at the Second Support Center and RTP offices in Durham, NC. They are used at entry doors to gain access to secure areas by presenting your HSPD-12 compliant credential or proximity card and entering your PIN number. These models of readers will work with our existing system and they are compliant with the new U.S. Government Personal Identity Verification (PIV) standard, FIPS PUB 201-2: Personal Identity Verification (PIV) of Federal Employees and Contractors. They are also on the FIPS 201 approved product list. Similar products will not meet our agency ™s needs.
