Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to JonRie Intertech International for Engineering and Technical Support Services furnishing certification repairs on the Automatic Towing Machine installed aboard the USNS Apache. The Government intends to make an award in FY2016. The purpose of this effort is to provide certification repairs including but not limited to new starter, junction box, new wiring to all valves and new cable from console to starter box. The Contractor will also be required to install new stainless steel hardware, new gaskets and new covers. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), JonRie is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the Navy's requirements for the specified effort. The proposed award and resulting contract modifications are for services/supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
