- Description
- The Missoula Fire Sciences Lab Mechanical Upgrade project consists of demolition and upgrades at the Fire Science Laboratory in Missoula, MT. The work will include mechanical and electrical upgrades in A-wing and limited work in B-wing. Limited architectural and structural work is also required. The Fire Science Laboratory is a burn chamber and wind tunnel research facility focused on Fire, Fuel and Smoke Studies. It is vital that this project is completed within the performance period to minimize research impacts. In addition, the project shall require a bio-based plan and adhere to Federal sustainability and energy codes as applicable and materials and products for the project shall be compliant with the federal government "Buy American Requirement". The allotted time for this contract is two hundred and ten (210) days from the notice to proceed. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for June 22nd, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. MST. All participants must RSVP by June 21st, 2016 by contacting Anthony Salas at 970-498-1147 or by email at asalas@fs.fed.us. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The anticipated date for issuance of the solicitation is on or around June 9th, 2016. The due date will be identified on the solicitation. The solicitation will be available for free download at www.fbo.gov. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted, in writing, to Anthony Salas at asalas@fs.fed.us no later than July 5th, 2016.
