- This announcement replaces the one initially posted on Feb 25, 2016. 2016 Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (C4I) and Cyber Conference Solicitation Number: RRS 2016 C4I and Cyber Conference Announcing the biennial 2016 Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (C4I) and Cyber Conference co-sponsored by the Erie Canal Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), the CYBER New York Alliance, Mohawk valley Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Griffiss Institute, and the Cyber Research Institute. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Information Directorate (AFRL/RI), located in Rome New York is participating along with its Information Institute and senior representative from Air Force and Other DoD organizations. The conference will be held on June 14, 15 and 16, 2016 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, Utica, NY. The conference will explore challenges and research opportunities in the Air Force Research Laboratory's Information Directorate (AFRL/RI) in C4I and Cyber technologies for Air Force and DoD applications. On June 14 and 15 there will be plenary sessions in the morning and parallel technical workshops in the afternoon, led by senior experts from academia, industry, and government. UPDATED INFORMATION REGARDING SPEAKERS, WORKSHOPS & PRESENTATIONS: Air Force Maj. Gen. (Retired) Israel is a keynote speaker. There will be plenary presentations on: AFRL Information Directorate Overview, Nanotechnology, Technology Transfer and Partnership Intermediaries. The second day's plenary presentations include AFRL/RI's four critical technologies; "Connectivity and Dissemination," "Processing and Exploitation," Cyber Science and Technology" and "Autonomy, Command and Control and Decision Support." The following workshops will be held: Software Defined Networking for Airborne Networks; Trust at the Edge: Secure Mobile Technology; Big Data Analytics; Technology Transfer and the Commercialization Academy; Software Defined RF: A Full Spectrum of Opportunity; Quantum Information Sciences: Next Big Thing?; Deep Learning; Interpreting and Interdicting Threats Against the Internet of Things. Thursday is devoted to addressing the Air Force Small Business Innovation Research program with a Keynote presentation by Mr. David Shahady, U S Air Force SBIR/STTR Program Manager, and plenary presentations on AF Commercialization Readiness Program, SBIR Data Rights and Other Transaction Authority and AFRL/RI Commercialization Academy. As additional details become available, they can be found at: http://www.afceaeriecanal.com This year the Exposition has 19 tabletop display tables available for $400.00 each. Poster board presentations by AFRL/RI's Information Institute will be displayed. On Tuesday, the Exposition starts at 4 PM and ends at 8 PM with heavy hors d'oeuvres. Thursday morning, June 16, will be devoted to addressing AFRL/RI's Small Business Innovation Research program. Corporate sponsorship of selected conference activities (e.g. meals, breaks, etc.) will be available. Registration fees cover a continental breakfast and morning breaks for all 3 days, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon breaks and their lunch, heavy hors d'oeuvres for the Exposition, all conference handouts and free parking. These costs are as follows: $425.00, Early Bird: 1 March to 3 June 2016 $525.00, Regular: 3 June to 13 June 2016 (Note correction to end date) $625.00, On-Site: 14 June to 15 June 2016 For people attending Thursday only, the June 16 Registration is: $20.00. Cancellation requests must be received in writing and Faxed to 315-235-1993. Requests received before June 10, 2016 are entitled to a full refund less $50.00 processing fee. After June 10, 2016 no refunds can be made. Special Note: All attendees must be US Citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens. Proof of status is required for registration. Identification is required at the venue. A passport or birth certificate plus picture ID such as a driver's license is required. Clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified. Note: this is NOT a "bidder's conference" and this announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The government will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an offeror for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the government.
