- Description
- ******************************************************* Updated 5/25/2016, 9:15 am EST: The purpose of this update is to provide answers to the questions received in regards to the subject RFQ. No additional questions will be answered as the question deadline has passed. 1. How much refrigerant should be included in the quote? Would it be ok to include 300lbs and a breakout price for more refrigerant up to 1000lbs? Yes. It was determined that it would be difficult to estimate the amount of refrigerant that would be needed, but the amount probably will not exceed 1000lbs. 2. While we are putting together a quote in response to your solicitation for Replace the leaking compressor motor shaft seal on York Chiller #3 (YK VF TBJ3 D, we would like to get a better understanding of what the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management has estimated the size or magnitude of this project (in dollars) to be. Is this something you could assist with? The estimated value of this project is $22,000.00. 3. Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation under solicitation number 16ASAMBOCNAT0095 contain requirements similar to a current contract? If possible, please provide the current contract number. Or, is this a new requirement for the government? Currently, there are no current or similar contracts for this requirement. 4. Can you speak about the clause pertaining to Prohibition on Contracting with Inverted Domestic Corporation 52.209-10? The chiller repair parts must be purchased from Johnson Controls and they are now an inverted corporation (foreign owned) by my understanding of recent events. How do we address this issue? Unless the contractor who is submitting a quote is an Inverted Domestic Corporation per the definition in FAR 9.108-5(b), the clause found at FAR 52.209-10 is not applicable. *******************************************************
