- The Regional Contracting Office (RCO) of Marine Corps Installation West (MCIWEST) at Camp Pendleton, California is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of performing dry cleaning and pressing services for the United States Marine Corps (USMC). This notice is issued as a Request For Information (RFI) and quotes or proposals are not being solicited at this time. The intent of this notice is to identify qualified small businesses and other socioeconomic firms for planning purposes. A sources sought notice or Request For Information (RFI) is a market research tool used to determine availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining a method of acquisition. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No reimbursement shall be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice, or any follow-up information requests. The Government shall not provide a debriefing on the results of this notice. All information submitted will be considered confidential and will be protected from unauthorized disclosure. Again, quotes or proposals ARE NOT being solicited. The USMC plans to solicit and award a long term, firm fixed priced indefinite-delivery type contract. The scope of work includes providing dry cleaning and pressing services on approximately 2,500 USMC uniform pieces per month. The planned North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 812320, Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services (except Coin-Operated), with a size standard of $5.5 million. The place of performance is Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego, California. It is requested that interested parties submit a brief capabilities statement (no more than 4 pages in length, single-spaced, 11-point font minimum) demonstrating their ability to perform the requested services. This documentation should address, at a minimum, the following: 1) Company profile to include number of employees, office location(s), Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and business size. If small business, include a statement identifying small business classification and current status of the small business classification (including any relevant socioeconomic status); 2) Relevant experience within the last three years that shows your company possesses the technical expertise, experience and financial capability to compete for this acquisition; and 3) Include whether your company has any active long term contracts or agreements that cover a similar scope of work and permits USMC purchasing, for example, General Services Administration (GSA) contracts. General sales brochures and marketing packages will not be considered.
