- NOTICE OF INTENT EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION The National Park Service, Northeast Region New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, contemplates negotiating and awarding, a purchase order for the procurement of emergency vehicle equipment installations and repairs for Shenandoah National Park, Luray VA. The National Park Service proposes to hire a trained and certified contractor to install and repair emergency vehicle equipment with parts provided by Shenandoah National Park. All work shall comply with the manufacturers recommendations and shall be within the manufacturers specified tolerances. All repairs must be completed at the contractors repair facility. The repair facility must be located within a limited area no more than a 75-mile drive from two of Shenandoah's locations; Headquarters, 3365 US HWY 211 East, Luray, VA 22835 and Simmons Gap, 22591 Spotswood Trail, Elkton, VA 22827. The park requires two park ranger employees to drive the vehicles to the facility for all routine and emergency repairs. The facility must be easily accessible minimalizing time staff would be away from their duty location. If the Government makes an award, the Government will make the award under the authority and guidance of Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested firms, or persons, may identify their interest and capability to perform installation and repair of the emergency equipment. Responses shall be submitted no later than 3:00 pm June 25, 2016 to lori_achkar@nps.gov (oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
