Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Revenue Operations Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPAC) intends to host an Industry Day on Thursday, 7/28/2016. The purpose of Industry Day is to allow interested businesses to exchange their capabilities in health care revenue cycle management services. The specific area of interest is patient accounts management (i.e. account follow-up, denials management, payment validation). Companies must have a proven track record of collecting on medical accounts that are aged between 180-365 days, and older. Additionally must be able to review and make appropriate recommendations for revenue opportunities related to both active and closed accounts to determine proper adjudication, including payment and denial information. All applications to attend Industry Day will be reviewed to ensure the minimum experience requirements below are met and the ten (10) vendors deemed to have the most relevant experience will be selected to attend. Experience must include; medical and pharmacy billing, coding inpatient and outpatient claims, health insurance payment methodologies, effective account follow-up and denials management, proven experience in dealing with a high volume of claims, knowledge of national and regional payer requirements, and knowledge of VHA billing and collection guidelines, laws and directives. Company should be able to demonstrate specifics of their proven approach and methodologies used to recoup revenue, and show rate of claims that have been overturned after prior denial and/or underpayment. Company must have five plus years of RECENT experience in all of the above. Companies are asked to register by completing and returning the vendor registration posted with this announcement via email by Friday, 6/10/2016 to mitchell.fetterman@va.gov. Ten (10) registered companies will be selected to present their capabilities to VHA personnel in breakout sessions limited to fifteen (15) minutes followed by fifteen (15) minutes of questions from VHA staff. Prior to the event, all Industry Day presenters shall provide a copy of presentation content to Mitchell Fetterman via email no later than close of business Tuesday, 7/5/2016. The Government does not request any proprietary information be submitted, nor shall it be liable, for any consequential damages for any proprietary information. Presentation materials will not be returned. The event will be held on Thursday, 7/28/2016 from 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time at Department of Veteran Affairs Headquarters located at 810 Vermont Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20420, Room C7. Sign-in for the event will begin at 8:30am. Registration Please register by completing company information listed in the vendor registration sheet posted with this announcement and return to Mitchell Fetterman at mitchell.fetterman@va.gov via email on or before Friday, 6/10/2016.
