Description
The U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Employment and Training Administration's (ETA) Office of Apprenticeship is soliciting proposals to award multiple contracts to national workforce intermediaries or a national consortia of workforce intermediaries (e.g., Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Labor-Management Organizations, workforce, industry and education organizations, among others) to serve as National Partners with DOL, and DOL-approved State Apprenticeship Agencies (SAAs), to support employers, states, DOL grantees, Registered Apprenticeship sponsors (including labor-management organizations) and other stakeholders to promote diversity and inclusion of under-represented populations that allow them to successfully prepare for, enter, and complete Registered Apprenticeship programs. These workforce intermediaries will recruit new partners and provide technical assistance to the partners and stakeholders outlined above to assist in the design of innovative approaches that advance the development of pipelines of new workers to Registered Apprenticeship programs. These career pathway on-ramps will increase access to Registered Apprenticeship training for underrepresented populations (women, persons of color, youth, persons with disabilities, and others). Resources, tools, and best practices created from these contracts will be made available to the public to ensure that support to further diversify apprenticeships is accessible to the widest audience possible.
