Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) - FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Steris Corporation, 5960 Heisley Road, Mentor OH, 44060. The New Jersey Healthcare System is purchasing a Steris Ultrasonic Caviwave System to clean Davinci Robot tools. The ultrasonic cleaner needs to be validated by Intuitive Surgical to clean the Davinci Robot tools. The place of performance is New Jersey VA East Orange Campus, 385 Tremont Road, East Orange NJ, 07018,. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; Interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT 6 June 2016 at 8:00 AM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required supplies and services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement VA243-16-Q- 0641 Notice of Intent. If after June 6, 2016, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Dept of VA shall negotiate solely with Steris Corporation. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition. STATEMENT OF WORK Steris Ultrasonic Cleaner for SPS VA New Jersey Healthcare System, East Orange Campus 1.Introduction The Steris Ultrasonic Cleaner Caviwave Pro supports the da Vinci Instrumentation for Robotic Surgery. Background Sterile Processing Department is been enhanced with the OR acquisition of Robotics Surgery. The existing Steris Sonic cleaners are an older model and it won't be able to deliver the optimum cleaning force needed to care for the da Vinci Instrumentation used during Robotic Surgery. The Caviwave Pro Ultrasonic system is designed to thoroughly clean surgical instrumentation exposed to blood, tissue and other contaminants. This cleaning system meets all AAMI standards; a very important detail in acquiring this equipment, in view of preparedness for ISO Certification, and it is validated by the Intuitive Surgical Company, manufacturers of the da Vinci Instruments, also a must. This cleaner model contains all needed components to effectively clean da Vinci Instruments utilizing ultrasonic cavitation passing through a detergent -balanced solution prior to disinfection and sterilization. This new model will replaced the existing one in SPS and will allow the staff to work more effectively, because it provides more capability to handle more volume of instrumentation, minimize the labor-intensive manual cleaning of da Vinci Instruments and accessories, automatically flushes, cleans lubricates and dries the instruments. 2.Place of Performance/Place of Delivery East Orange Campus 385 Tremont Ave. Bldg. 1 Rm 2-210 East Orange, NJ 07019 3.Period of Performance Vendor shall deliver items within 6 weeks of order. 4.Specifications Quantity 1 Steris Caviwave Pro Ultrasonic Cleaner 17 gallon 208V/3PH/132kHz Unit, First Year PM Caviwave Pro Cleaner, Install Sonic Cleaner, Caviwave Pro 17 Gallon XI Instrument Tray with Complete Flush port & Hose Kit, Trade-in value for existing Steris Sonic Cleaner BRAND NAME EXACT MATCH Description The Caviwave Pro Cleaner is wired for operation on either 208V or 240V voltage and shipped with power cord. Sonic generators deliver dual frequencies creating optimal cleaning action and noise reduction. Is a freestanding instrument washer housed in a compact stainless steel cabinet. Is equipped with a powered opening lid, load/ unload tray elevator and touch screen control. Has a 17 gallon capacity and tank is constructed of type 316 stainless steel with a BA finish. Illuminated Controls include Main Power ON/OFF, Alert: Read Screen and Touch Screen Display. Front and side service Access panels are supplied on the unit for ease of any maintenance procedures. The SPS Department meets all Utility Requirements for Installation as consulted with FMS Department and Plumbing Service.
