- Figure 2 Attachment Figure 1 Attachment This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a request for proposal, but a survey to locate potential sources. This Sources Sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. It is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, & EDWOSB businesses are highly encouraged to participate. A. Objective To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. Salient Characteristics The Contractor shall provide one (1) each of assemblies labeled "L-Shaped Table" and "T-Shaped Table," illustrated in Figure 2 (see "Figure 2 attachment'). The assemblies are constructed of two types of subunits labeled "TypeA" and "TypeB," illustrated in Figure 2 (see Figure 2 attachment). The subunits shall conform to the minimum requirements listed below: 1.TypeA a.Size of four (4) feet by six (6) feet by one (1) foot thick b. Use of ferrous components is permitted 2.TypeB a. Size of four (4) feet by ten (10) feet by one (1) foot thick b. Use only non-magnetic materials for table components including top face, bottom face, honeycomb, tuned dampers and vibration isolation components i. stainless steel components must be 300 series (austenitic) ii. top table surface must be 316 stainless steel 3. Common to TypeA and TypeB a. Height of top surface above the floor is three (3) feet b. Top surface tapped ¼"-20 on 1", 0.5" boarder c. In addition to stock tap pattern, bottom surface shall be tapped as indicated in Figure 1 (see Figure 1 attachment) d. Table top flatness of better than +/-0.005" e. Honeycomb interior f. Maximum dynamic deflection coefficient of <= 0.8e-3 g. Maximum relative motion <= 8e-9 inches h. Maximum deflection under 250 pounds (lbs) load placed at center of table <= 5e-5 inches The L-shaped and T-Shaped assemblies shall conform to the minimum requirements listed below: 1. Union of TypeA and TypeB subunits permits reconfiguration of subunits as either a) rigid single table or b) independent free-standing tables 2. Vibration isolation legs for each assembly a. Numbering four (4) in quantity b. Vertical motion i. Resonance frequency less than 2.1 Hertz (Hz) ii. Isolation of at least 90 percent at 5 Hz and 97 percent at 10 Hz c. Horizontal motion i. Resonance frequency less than 2.3 Hertz (Hz) ii. Isolation of at least 80 percent at 5 Hz and 95 percent at 10 Hz d. Use of ferrous materials in vibration isolation legs is permitted Estimated Delivery Timeframe: 60 days after contract award C. Responses: All interested parties should notify this office by email to Cristina M. Watkins at cristina.m.watkins.civ@mail.mil by closing date listed below. Responses shall include: (I) To what extent each of the specifications can be met. (II) Include your type of business (i.e. commercial, academia), whether your organization is classified as a large or small business based on the [NAICS employee size or dollar value] standard that accompanies NAICS code [NAICS Code #]. If a small business, you must also list any small disadvantaged status you hold [HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), etc.]. (III) Past experience/ performance through the description of completed projects. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are due no later than 3:00 pm eastern standard time 07 June 2016.
