- This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. IAW FAR 52.215-3, Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of: obtaining information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition, 238910 Site Preparation Contractors, with a Small Business size standard of $15M. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS, PROPOSAL ABSTRACTS, OR QUOTATIONS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Description: Sources Sought for Services to Demolish Building 418 and 494 on Bangor IAPS, in Bangor, ME 04401. The following information shall be provided: Contractor Information: Name and Address Point of Contact Cage Code DUNS Number Type of Business: Identify whether your firm is a Small Business, SBA certified 8(a), SBA certified HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and/or Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business, or Women-Owned Small Business concern. If you are submitting as a mentor-protégé joint venture under the 8(a) program, you must provide SBA approval of the mentor-protégé agreement to be considered as small for this procurement. For more information on the definitions or requirements for these small business programs, refer to http://www.sba.gov/. All capability statements sent in response to this Sources Sought Notice must be submitted electronically to SSgt Bradford Erdmann, Contract Specialist (bradford.c.erdmann.mil@mail.mil) before the closing date and time of this announcement. All responses must be received by the specified due date and time. Note: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in the response. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After review of the responses received, pre-solicitation and solicitation notices may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. The solicitation release date is pending. The Government anticipates award of a contract on the basis of lowest price technically acceptable evaluation.
