Description
Small Business Sources Sought THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. This announcement closes 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, 27 May 2016. The Government is seeking industry input from only Small Business sources at this time. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811310, Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance Services, with a corresponding size standard of $7.5 Million. Interested parties must be registered under NAICS 811310 in SAM (System for Award Management) at www.sam.gov, formerly known as CCR (Central Contractor Registration). The Government plans to consider all information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The 633d Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB, VA, is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy to obtain non-personal services for the Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE) Vehicle Barrier Maintenance and Repair requirement. Langley is located in Hampton, VA 23665. The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide regular periodic inspection and maintenance, inspection and maintenance (monthly, quarterly and annual), emergency repair and quarterly recertification for Joint Base Langley Eustis - Langley AFB final denial active vehicle barriers. Work shall comply with commercial standards for maintenance and repair of these units as well as all commercial, federal, state, and local requirements that may apply. Barriers consist of actuators, control wiring, circuitry, structural framework, lighting, spring assembly, hydraulic related equipment, corresponding traffic lights, associated computerized systems and control cabinets. Performance will consist of a one (1) base year, and four (4) one-year option periods. The Government anticipates making award in August 2016. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) release date is to be determined. Please note: This is an estimated posting timeframe and it is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.fbo.gov for all subsequent postings. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is posted in conjunction with this notice to provide the size, scope, and complexity of this requirement. The government is seeking industry input to determine if there are adequate Small Business concerns, to include Joint Ventures, capable of performing the required services. This is not a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), and no contract will result from this notice, nor does it commit the Government to any acquisition for these services. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package (limited to no more than 10 pages total) outlining your company's key business abilities relevant to the performance of this requirement and addressing the questions found in Attachment 1.
