- The US Army Contracting Command (ACC) - Warren, intends to release a solicitation in the future for the B-Kit Armor Recovery HEMMTT A4 LTAS. The solicitation will result in a Single Long Term Contract. This Acquisition will be a Small Business Set-Aside. This effort is to augment RRAD maintenance capabilities. The Contractor who is awarded this contract is responsible for the complete refurbishment of the Add on Armor Kits and must provide all facilities, equipment, and tooling required to perform armor recovery operations. The Contractor is required to pick up all of the armor from RRAD, take them to their facility, refurbish them, and return them back to the depot. The armor is applied to the HEMTT and is deployed to hostile areas of operation. It protects the occupants from small arms fire, rocket propelled grenades, and blasts for improvised exploding devices. These kits are designed to prevent catastrophic damage to the engine and drive train system on the vehicle. They also provide the soldier in the vehicle with more protection and helps to maintain enough mobility to exit an ambushed site. No phone calls will be accepted at this time.
