- This is a sources sought synopsis in support of a market survey being conducted by the 11th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, MD 20762 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10, Market Research, to determine interest and capabilities of potential sources to provide training is an interactive, humorous, and hard-hitting presentation which teaches how to implement all 3 of the following skill sets in one 75 minute presentation: 1) Request and respect verbal consent; 2) Engage in bystander intervention when alcohol is being used to try and facilitate a sexual assault; 3) Proper way to "open the door" for supporting survivors of sexual assault. The contractor shall conduct the event in person at JBA, MD and JBAB, DC on the 18 th of October 2016 and provide two (2) in-person events; one at each base. This synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, a synopsis of a solicitation, a commitment on the part of the Government to later publish a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract. The Government will not reimburse the costs of preparing or submitting a response to this synopsis. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors to provide training is an interactive, humorous, and hard-hitting presentation which teaches how to implement all 3 of the following skill sets in one 75 minute presentation: 1) Request and respect verbal consent; 2) Engage in bystander intervention when alcohol is being used to try and facilitate a sexual assault; 3) Proper way to "open the door" for supporting survivors of sexual assault. Interested sources capable of providing this requirement must respond by e-mail to julia.a.johnson6.civ@mail.mil, referencing Motivational Speaker no later than Monday, 13 June 2016 at 12:00PM EST. Interested sources shall indicate whether they are capable of providing the subject requirement, how long after issuance of a purchase order would it take to complete the requirement, and furthermore indicate their size and status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.). No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This source sought synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources.
