Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for spare parts and training services for a modified Air Particle Detector IM-275/FDR. The services provided by Canberra Industries, Inc. will be to provide the spare parts for the modified Air Particle Detector IM-275/FDR. The NAICS code is 334519 and the business size is 500 mil. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Canberra Industries, Inc. The proposed action is for services to provide spare parts and training services for the modified Air Particle Detector IM-275/FDR, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Canberra Industries, Inc manufactured and modified a commercially available Air Particle Detector IM-275/FDR to fit the needs of the Navy so therefore have the spare parts and training services that are needed. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Canberra Industries, Inc using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 02 July 2016. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 07/02/2016, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries should be directed to Kellie Holley at kellie.holley@navy.mil.
