- Description
- The U.S. Department of Labor has a requirement for a qualified Design/Build Contractor to provide design/build services for the replacement of the hot water heating systems for the domestic water and heating systems located in the Mechanical Building 06-RM-67 at the Gary Job Corps Center. This work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of existing instantaneous water heaters, one (1) water heater, one (1) boiler and associated piping and valves. The existing hot water heating system is to be replaced with new high efficiency, large-volume, high-output water heaters, new high-efficiency boilers and associated piping and valves. This work also involves the installation of separate water treatment systems for the domestic hot water and heating hot water systems, integration of the hot water heating systems into the existing Building Automation System, water flow balancing, systems commissioning, and Owner training. The estimated price range for design and construction is between $250,000 to $500,000. Interested firms are invited to submit a statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualifications should demonstrate the capacity of your firm to perform the services described above. Your statement of qualification shall include the following information: 1. Examples of two or more hot water heating system replacement projects with a $250,000 to $500,000 constructed value performed by your firm within the last five years. Your project examples shall also demonstrate your previous experience in the balancing and commissioning of hot water heating systems. 2. Your previous project examples should include the location of the project, the project owner, brief and concise description of the project scope, and specialty design consultants employed. 3. Provide two or more projects that were completed by your project team that were located in the region where this project is located which indicates your familiarity with state and local codes, environmental conditions, economic conditions and experience/qualifications of local design consultants. Using the previous project examples indicate the location of the projects (City, State). 4. Using the previous project examples include the Contract Award/NTP date, the original contract completion date, and the actual contract completion date for each project. 5. Using the previous project examples indicate the contract award amount, the final contract value, and a percentage of change order value relative to the total construction value for each project. 6. Outline your established Safety and Quality Control procedures and protocols, which are consistently applied to all projects. When responding to this Notice, you should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonstrate that the respondent is capable. The submissions shall not exceed 20 pages. All responses are due Thursday June 21, 2016 by 2:00 PM EDT, and shall be submitted electronically via e-mail to: garnett.eileen@dol.gov Eileen Garnett, Contract Specialist. Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified on the results of the Government's evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
