Description: **********Amendment 3: Per Amendment 2, the vendors have until June 10, 2016 to submit their responses to this market survey. Resubmissions of responses are acceptable as long as they are sent by June 10, 2016. **********Amendment 2: Attached are the vendors' questions and the FAA's responses, as well as additional drawings. The market survey response date has been extended to June 10, 2016. **********Amendment 1: The market survey response date has been extended to June 3, 2016 so we can respond to the vendors' questions, and post our responses to these questions. **********Original Market Survey: INTRODUCTION/PURPOSE The purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA ™s interest in the manufacturing of equipment racks. The FAA will need approximately 3,000 racks that can be used to contain various electronic devices. The FAA requests that interested vendors send relevant information about their racks that meet the requirements below. Listed below are salient technical specifications. The FAA desires four configurations of metal equipment racks. Configuration 1 will be a metal rack approximately 83 ť in height, 25 ť deep, and 19 ť wide (See drawing APO-M-BR-01_01). Configuration 2 will be a metal rack approximately 83 ť in height, 22 ť deep and 19 ť wide (See drawing APO-M-BR-03_01). Configuration 3 will be a metal rack approximately 72 ť in height, 25 ť deep, and 19 ť wide (See drawing APO-M-BR-08_01). Configuration 4 will be a metal rack approximately 72 ť in height, 22 ť deep, and 19 ť wide (See drawing APO-M-BR-09_01). Each configuration will have metal front, rear and side panels. These metal racks will be in accordance with EIA-310. All piece-parts for each rack must be available for purchase on an individual basis. The FAA also requires unique Support Brackets. See drawings APO-M-BS-12 and APO-M-BS-13 that are required for radio installation within the racks. Vendors are encouraged to submit their capabilities to provide or manufacture equipment that satisfies the characteristics outlined in this announcement. This public announcement is being issued in accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management Policy 3.2.1.2.1 Market Analysis (April 2013) and 3.2.1.3.11.1 General (January 2010). INCUMBENT CONTRACTOR There is no incumbent contractor for this procurement. NATURE OF COMPETITION The acquisition strategy for the potential procurement has not been determined at this time. NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE The NAICS code for this is: 332313. MARKET SURVEY INSTRUCTIONS 1)The FAA requests that interested vendors send relevant information about their racks that meet configurations 1 through 4 listed above. Please provide a capabilities statement to support your ability to provide or manufacture these racks, as well as make all piece-parts for each rack available for purchase on an individual basis. Also, include whether you can manufacture unique Support Brackets as referenced in drawings APO-M-BS-12 and APO-M-BS-13. Do not exceed 4 pages per configuration using Times New Roman with a font size of 12. The documents must have 1 inch margins. Please use the following naming convention: Racks Capabilities_Statement (insert your company name).pdf 2)Also, as part of the Market Survey, please complete the Business Declaration Form using the following naming convention: Racks Business Declaration Form_(insert your company name).pdf Vendors must submit their questions or comments in writing by May 6, 2016, 4pm EST. Vendor responses and comments may be posted to FAACO by the Government. As such, vendor questions and comments must not contain any proprietary or sensitive information. The FAA will publish responses to any questions determined to be beneficial to the development of vendor submittals. The identity of the vendor submitting the question will not be published. DELIVERY OF SUBMITTALS All responses must be submitted via email to benette.chen@faa.gov no later than May 27, 2016, 4:00PM EST including śRACKS MARKET SURVEY RESPONSE ť in the subject line of your email. The individual e-mail responses including attachments must be less than 10 MB. As such, vendors are permitted to submit their responses via multiple e-mails if necessary due to the size constraints. Vendors must not password protect or compress (e.g., śzip ť) any submitted files. Submission must include company point(s) of contact, telephone number(s), email address(es), fax number(s), and mailing address. This announcement is neither a Screening Information Request nor a Request for Proposals of any kind. The FAA is not seeking nor accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or for costs incurred in preparing the response to this Market Survey.
