Description
Request for Information - Code Editing Software The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Technology Acquisition Center is seeking sources to provide for Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Code Editing Software. The Contractor shall provide Interface development, integration, training support, testing support, and maintenance support on a Firm-Fixed Price basis. The Contractor shall provide a COTS Code Editing Software solution that automates, evaluates, and clarifies clinical coding accuracy of professional and ambulatory surgery claims for services provided to beneficiaries. The Code Editing Software shall promote a consistent claim review process by ensuring coding meets current coding guidelines and monitors utilization of services. The Contractor shall interface the software with the current automated CBOPC payment system. The Code Editing Software shall provide an automated code editing review of medical claims and an automated utilization review of medical claims. The Coding Editing Software shall meet the guidelines developed by the American Medical Association's CPT ©, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The Code Editing Software shall incorporate agreed upon industry practices, reviews and analysis by an extensive clinical consultant network. The industry practices shall include, but are not limited to: CPT coding guidelines, CMS coding guidelines, Health Plan Policy, American Medical Association. Please see attached draft performance work statement. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal or quote. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotations, or a Request for Proposal. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. Your response to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by VA in developing its acquisition strategy and Statement of Work. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. Please provide a statement of capabilities that includes a description of the capabilities/qualifications/skills your company possesses to perform this work.
