- ***AMENDMENT 000001 DTFAWA-16-R-00023 X-RAY SCREENING SYSTEMS** The purpose of this amendment is to do the following: 1. Extend the proposal due date from June 8, 2016 to June 20, 2016. This extension allows the Government sufficient time to respond to vendor questions. 2. Change the anticipated period of performance. From: July 15, 2016 - July 14, 2017 To: August 1, 2016 -July 31, 2017. REFER to the attachment (DTFAWA-16-R-00023 Amendment 000001) for details. *************************************************************** Description: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Facility Security Risk Management Program (FSRM) office has a requirement for X-Ray screening systems support to all FAA facilities within the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Guam and Puerto Rico. Scope of Effort: This Screening Information Request/Request for Offer (SIR) is for the acquisition, delivery and installation of fifty-two (52) fully functional x-ray screening machines with appropriate software and hardware devices that meet the requirements of the Statement of Work, Section C of the SIR. The Contractor must remove existing x-ray machines and dispose of them in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated to apply to this effort is 334517, Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing, X-Ray Systems with a size standard of 1,000 employees. This is a competitive SIR for a firm-fixed priced contract for a twelve (12) month period of performance and one (1) year of warranty coverage. The award will be made to the Offeror that provides the best value to the Government and is considered responsible IAW AMS 3.2.2 Source Selection. Questions or comments pertaining to this SIR must be submitted in writing via email to the Contract Specialist, Wanda J. Wright at wanda.wright@faa.gov not later than Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. EST. Questions and responses that clarify the SIR may be provided to all Offerors; however the source of the questions will not be identified. Purpose: Offerors must submit their proposals in accordance with Section L of the SIR to Wanda J.
